We’re Eric and Leslie Myers—husband and wife, pastors, parents of a big blended family, grandparents to a growing crew of grandbabies, and two people who came to Jesus a little later in life.
Our story has never followed a particularly straight line. God met us in the middle of real life, brought our family together, radically changed the direction of our lives, and eventually called us into ministry.
For more than a decade, we served together in northwest Montana, investing in people, teaching God’s Word, building relationships, and helping others grow in their faith. During those years, God gave us incredible friendships, meaningful ministry, and a church family we deeply loved.
And then, in 2024, God began stirring our hearts toward something new.
How We Got Here
Long before God called us to North Georgia, He was changing the way we saw ministry.
After years of traditional pastoral ministry, our hearts were being drawn beyond Sunday mornings and church buildings—to discipleship around tables, in homes, over coffee, and wherever people were already doing life.
God was showing us something simple: ministry didn’t always mean asking people to come to us. Sometimes it meant going to them.
We didn’t know it yet, but He was preparing us for Grace Gathering.
Then, in 2024, while we were in North Georgia, God spoke something simple to our hearts:
“I want you here.”
That began a season of prayer, surrender, and eventually leaving behind a church and community we deeply loved in Montana.
We arrived in Georgia without a church building or a perfectly mapped-out plan. What we did have was a conviction that God had called us here—and the realization that He wasn't asking us to recreate what we'd left behind.
He was asking us to follow Him into something new.
Where We’re Going
We believe the church moves wherever God sends His people.
Grace Gathering is continuing to take shape through gatherings, discipleship, marriage ministry, ministry to men and women, and the places God sends us—including the Appalachian Trail.
We don’t know exactly what all of this will look like in the years ahead. And we’re okay with that. We’ve learned that following Jesus often means taking the next step before you can see the whole road.
Our prayer is simple: stay rooted in the Word, stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and keep saying yes.
Where He leads, We’ll follow.
Jesus never waited for people to come to Him.
He walked roads.
He entered homes.
He sat around tables.
He met people where they were.
We believe that same mission continues today, whether through local gatherings, online discipleship, marriage ministry, or the Appalachian Trail,
